October

October in Buea is no ordinary month. If you did not know this you are welcome. Its extra ordinary nature comes from that little extra.Extra fashion, extra languages, extra hostels and of course extra confusion. Do you get what im driving at??? HELLO !!! the freshmen are in town so the ever changing Molyko is going through change once more.
That is emphasis in the trends like denim shirts, maxi gowns, midi dresses, crop tops, body con dresses and the guys are just killing it with the faux leather shirts and trousers and loafers (some are authentic). Places like Bonga Juice are getting crazy descriptions and i dare not leave out the questions freshmen ask and i always quote UB because i prefer telling the truth with time i promise to get a hang of other schools. You know UB is big and easily overwhelming so confusion is almost inevitable. A freshman walks up to you and is like "where can i get the timetable of SMS?" and there is "how can we be attending classes in a restaurant?" and of course there is the long standing tradition of old students misdirecting the new ones to wrong places.
So to business people there is going to be turn over and the excuse of "them don close border dem" will work so much in their favour. To teachers its that time of the year again, words cannot even describe the excitement in freshmen so Oxford....more words please. For boys girls are around holding on to your old crush is going to be hard and girls....well good luck. Whatever it is everyone has a unique October experience especially socially. Those from boarding schools usually are given the rule book to avoid "rob" and if you didn't get the memo with time you are going to realise flip flops or "bathing slippers" aren't worn out of your house and looking "on point" is more necessary than a good C.A mark. Sorry guys that's Molyko for you, fall in line or out.
What about you? what was your October experience? Please share share share.......
